What is Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC)?

AFROTC is a three to five year training program available at 145 detachments across the USA that trains college students to be leaders, and upon completion of the program, obtain a commission in the US Air Force or US Space Force as a military officer.

What is this website?

This site was created by an experienced AFROTC cadre member (military officer that serves as an instructor) in the hopes of providing additional detail and information about AFROTC above what you will find on the official website and marketing materials.

This is an unofficial website. The views I express here are my own and don’t necessarily represent the views of the Air Force or Space Force.

The site is broken down into a few sections of before, during, and after AFROTC, as well as a resources section. If you're new to the idea of AFROTC, start in the before section and work your way through.

The military uses a lot of confusing acronyms, so for most acronyms, you'll see a dotted line beneath the word. Just hover your mouse cursor over that word for a definition of what it means.

Timeliness Disclaimer

Be aware that things in AFROTC change frequently. I will try to keep this site up-to-date, but please always check with your local detachment cadre for the most current and accurate information.
